My New Home

So, I’ve moved over here to WordPress from Tumblr. It has nothing to do with Tumblr’s website, but mainly to do with the people that have started using Tumblr. I used to follow intellectual individuals who were writers professionally and for for fun. They all had a story to tell, and I love reading. We had things in common and it was a good balance. Lately I’ve started to see those blogs dissipate and what they have been replaced with is very disappointing to me. It has been taken over by teenage mothers (not judging) with no heads on their shoulders. They’re all blogging about the wrong things. Not that there really is anything RIGHT to blog about, but I do believe that when you are blogging about something such as a pregnancy or family or your children, there are areas of writing that are completely inappropriate. Cussing is fine, talking about your body is fine, even brisking the areas of sex is okay, but when you start sounding like a raunchy porno or posting erotic pictures, I’m out. So here I am…hoping for a better experience over here.

If you are wondering why there are so many posts on this day, I just took the important posts from my Tumblr and brought over here all at once so no one who stops by is completely confused as to what I am talking about. I also added a few extra pages and such. I hope you guys enjoy and feel free to leave comments with opinions!

I hope to enjoy my new home.

About jaymeepatterson

I started life with the belief that, in today's times, a woman must have a big-time career, be completely independent, and, essentially, be the sum of "I am woman, hear me roar." As I grew up the common dream of "prince charming" started worming its way into my brain. One day, in college, while I was planning the next move on my road toward a nursing career I realized something odd. I was in love. Soon after I was engaged and then married. Shortly into my marriage I realized two things. 1. I was not happy with what I was working toward. 2. Why can't the idea of an independent, chic, housewife exist? So, I created it! Well, maybe not, but I did start living it. As I was living this dream life a genius thought came to mind. Why not share this idea with the public? Share this notion of a chic woman who runs her home...from home! So here it is. Enjoy, ladies!

This is so much fun!!! I’ve never met anyone else who has decided to write letters to their little one right when they found out. (: I’m so glad for you- I think they are going to LOVE this when they get older. (: You have a while left to go- but keep enjoying every minute of it!

I bet it’s fun for you to have someone a bit ahead of you! I wish I had someone just a few weeks ahead of me so much! It would have helped. Let me know if you need *anything*. (:

    • Thank you so much! I really am enjoying documenting the whole thing. I’ve been writing for a long time, but never really had quite this much fun with it. Just knowing that someone will really enjoy this in the future makes me all giddy inside. I love your blog and thank you for the outreach to me. I appreciate the love 😀
