Week 20: Pregnancy

20 weeks! Officially halfway! Well, Over halfway now because I’m 20 weeks and 4 days.

What’s going on with Everleigh?  She’s as long as a banana! 6 1/2 in head to bottom and 10 from head to toe! That seems so big to me. She started producing meconium, which Ryan and I will see in her first poopy diaper. At our ultrasound the doctor said that it  looks like she may have some cysts on her kidney but that it’s nothing to worry about. In the next week or two we have to go the the high risk OB just to take a second look and make sure she’s fine. But her kidneys seem to be functioning perfectly based on the amount of fluid she has!

How am I doing? Awesome! I’m so energized and ready to get everything done! I went to Ikea while my mom was in town these past couple days and we got a new bed (queen sized so there’s more space for Everleigh’s things in our room) and a really cute bedding set. I can’t wait to get more things checked off our list!

How’s my appetite? I eat too much. Plain and simple. And I don’t know where it’s going because I can still fit into most of my old jeans as long as I wear them under my belly.

What happened this week? My mom came into town for Evie’s ultrasound. I was so glad to see her again and that she got the chance to join in on the fun. We had a blast!

Randomness of the week:

  • Swedish Meatballs at Ikea
  • Just ate the best pizza of my life
  • Our new bed’s so comfy my hubby just fell asleep
  • I miss my mom already
  • I’ve gained about 15 lbs so far according to the doctor’s scales. EEK! lol

And here’s a little extra goodness for your evening…

About jaymeepatterson

I started life with the belief that, in today's times, a woman must have a big-time career, be completely independent, and, essentially, be the sum of "I am woman, hear me roar." As I grew up the common dream of "prince charming" started worming its way into my brain. One day, in college, while I was planning the next move on my road toward a nursing career I realized something odd. I was in love. Soon after I was engaged and then married. Shortly into my marriage I realized two things. 1. I was not happy with what I was working toward. 2. Why can't the idea of an independent, chic, housewife exist? So, I created it! Well, maybe not, but I did start living it. As I was living this dream life a genius thought came to mind. Why not share this idea with the public? Share this notion of a chic woman who runs her home...from home! So here it is. Enjoy, ladies!
